I just got home from school and I must say, it is incredibly nice to be back in class especially when it's my one night out sans child. In the past I would have counted down the minutes till the prof dismissed us, where as now I could sit there for another hour or as long as they want to keep me. The social interaction with adults as well as the doing something just for me is exactly what this momma needs. Whenever I return home I always feel like it was just the right amount of "away" time to recharge my batteries and refresh myself for the next day. I love the long drive home to clear my head, blast the music, and not have to reach back for the soother (I'm beginning to think this soother thing is both my best friend and my worst enemy). School itself has taken over a new importance to me and I feel genuinely interested and excited about the tools I'm learning to peruse my career when I re-enter the work force. A girl I have become friends with in class lost her little boy last year four days after he was born. Stories like hers make me feel even more blessed that we have our health and each other. When I walk in the door I am happy that I am back where I belong, home.
Nice to see you have found something that motivates you and inspires you. I'm home after school, we'd love to see Baby Ives!
