I was just about at the hospital, too anxious to stay away, Jared called to say that the doctor had decided that an emergency c-section was necessary. I ran to the room just as they were wheeling away my sister. She was still in the throws of horrendous contractions and the disappointment and fear were written all over her face. I held her hand for a brief moment and then she was gone. 3 hours in the waiting room and then a teary eyed daddy strolled out. "You were right, Mol, it's a baby girl....and I love her already". I will remember Jared's face and his emotion for the rest of my days. A dad. He flipped through a few pictures on his camera and my heart filled for this little one on the other side of the doors that keep waiting sisters like me out. It would be 6 hours before they found her a room at the Inn and 6 hours before I got to meet little Ivy Abigail. She is precious. Smooth skin with piercing eyes and a mop of dark brown hair that we are all a little dumbfounded considering the blond hair and blue eyes of both her parents. I am running off to the hospital in need of a little Ivy snuggle before heading back to the lake to get my family. You have to wait until Monday for some pictures, I left my camera at the hospital so that it was handy for today, not really thinking, was I?
Congratulations!

Oh happy day! That is wonderful news :) Well, not the emergency c-section part, but so long as baby is healthy and momma is happy, the rest just doesn't matter anymore. Wonderful, wonderful!
